Project update - September 2026

The Cronulla Special Entertainment Precinct (SEP) 12-month trial will start on Friday 4 September 2026 under the NSW Government's Vibrancy Reforms.

The SEP provides a precinct-wide framework for managing late-night activity, including extended trading and entertainment flexibility for eligible businesses, subject to sound management and amenity requirements. It will operate in accordance with Council's adopted Precinct Management Plan.

Council resolved to start a 12-month trial of a SEP in Cronulla at its 13 July 2026 meeting and endorsed an amended Precinct Management Plan. On 24 August 2026, Council adopted the Development Control amendments for a SEP. You can view Council meetings and minutes here.
