Our Draft Cultural Strategy 2022-2032

Consultation period: 4 February to 4 March 2022

Council consulted with the local community between late 2019 and 2021 seeking feedback on what you valued in arts and culture in the Sutherland Shire. The insights and aspirations we received have helped shape the development of the draft Cultural Strategy.

The draft Cultural Strategy is our 10 year framework for our commitment to supporting and evolving our culturally rich and vibrant community for generations to come.

The Strategy has three key areas of focus:

  1. A sense of place and story telling
  2. A community enriched by creativity and its culture
  3. Culture is inclusive, welcoming and accessible.

Have your say

We are seeking your feedback on the draft Cultural Strategy to ensure it meets the needs and expectations of the community.

You can provide feedback until 4 March 2022:

  • Online by filling out the survey below
  • In writing by emailing bhanrahan@ssc.nsw.gov.au

Next steps

All community feedback received will be considered and the final version of the Strategy made available to Council for final adoption. It is anticipated this will be reported to Council in May. Once adopted, the Strategy will begin implementation and made available to the community via our website.
