Our draft Community Strategic Plan outlines the community’s aspirations and long-term vision for the Sutherland Shire and has been prepared by Council in collaboration with, and on behalf of residents, businesses, all levels of government and local agencies, to help build a vibrant and sustainable future for the local community.
In working towards achieving the community goals outlined in the draft Community Strategic Plan, we have developed a draft four-year Delivery Program 2017-2021 and annual Operational Plan and budget for 2017-2018. These documents set out the key deliverables and actions Council will undertake across the six key outcomes areas that form the framework of our Community Strategic Plan.
The Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program and Operational Plan are supported by a draft Resourcing Strategy 2017-2027 (consisting of a Long Term Financial Plan, Workforce Strategy and Asset Management Strategy) that outlines the provision of available resources to implement the activities contained in the Delivery and Operational Plan.
Council approved drafts of these planning documents for public exhibition, and we are welcoming community feedback between Thursday 18 May and Thursday 15 June 2017.
The draft Plans are available in the Document Library to the right, or can be viewed in hard copy at Council’s Administration Building, Sutherland, or at any library branch within the Sutherland Shire.
Feedback on the draft Plan can be submitted via the submissions tab below, or mailed to:
Sutherland Shire Council
Locked Bag 17, Sutherland 1499.
All submissions must be received by close of business Thursday, 15 June 2017.
Further information about the planning documents can be found under Q&A, or for further information please contact the Strategy and Performance Unit on ph: 9710 0544.
