Child Protection Policy

happy child being care for responsibly.

Sutherland Shire Council supports the rights of children to be fully protected so they survive, grow, learn, and develop to reach their full potential. We want to make sure children are safe and in good care when they access our facilities, engage in our programs, or are in our care.

The purpose of this policy is to provide a transparent framework that outlines and supports our commitment to keeping children safe through awareness, prevention, identification, and reporting of child abuse.

We are seeking feedback from our community on the draft policy, which is available in the document library on this page. Feedback can be submitted through the submissions link below.
