Waterways Facilities Upgrade Program
Consultation has concluded
Council is planning upgrades of some of its waterways facilities to improve access to the Shire’s magnificent waterways. The aim of the projects is to improve the safety and ease of waterway access through renewed infrastructure. The projects will be carried out over three years and are jointly funded by Council’s input of $2.62 million from its Infrastructure Program, along with grants totalling $1.745 million from NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) under its Boating Now program. This is a total spend of $4.365 million.
Council is gathering community feedback on the existing use and amenity of these waterways facilities in order to inform the design. There are nine facilities that you can comment on:

- Burnum Burnum Sanctuary Boat Ramp, Woronora
- Captain Cook Bridge Small Craft Launching Facility, Taren Point
- Holts Point Place Boat Ramp, Sylvania
- Lugano Avenue Small Craft Launching Facility, Burraneer
- Oyster Bay Boat Ramp, Oyster Bay
- Scylla Bay Boat Ramp and Wharf, Como
- Tom Uglys Bridge Wharf, Sylvania
- Tonkin Street Boat Ramp, Cronulla.
