Council is looking at ways to improve Jannali Town Centre. We understand it’s an important shopping precinct servicing the local area, and we want to make it a great place for our community to dine, stay, play, relax and shop.
We’re preparing a Public Domain Plan for Jannali Town Centre that details how we will activate the precinct around Box Road, Railway Parade, Roberts Street, White Street and Jannali Avenue.
We are committed to supporting the success and sustainability of our town centres. Council endorsed a Public Domain Strategy in 2023 to deliver on this commitment. Developing a Public Domain Plan for Jannali Town Centre is one of the key priorities in the Strategy. The Plan will provide a prioritised list of actions that Council will implement in Jannali.
To identify potential improvements to the Centre, we have engaged an independent research company, Place Score, to carry out a comprehensive audit of the area and conduct surveys to gather input from our community.
In 2020/21, Council asked the community for feedback on town centres and about Jannali specifically. We want to understand what really matters to our community now and how values may have changed.
Have your say
To help inform the Public Domain Plan, we are seeking to understand what our community’s ideal town centre looks like and ideas to improve the precinct.
