Greater Menai Traffic Working Party - Expressions of Interest

Council is committed to a collaborative approach in planning for the future of the Sutherland Shire Local Government Area, and its unique ward and suburb areas.

In May 2019, Council determined to establish a working party to consider traffic, parking and transport issues for the Greater Menai Area. Membership for this collaborative working party will be drawn from Councillors, NSW Police Force, local residents and business owners.

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from community members who live or work on the Menai area who are interested in participating.

As a member of the Working Party you will be representing the interest of your local community and will work alongside Councillors and Council team members to ensure community perspectives inform ongoing planning for traffic and transport related issues in the greater Menai area.


We are looking for people who:

  • Will work collaboratively and cooperatively to achieve the best outcomes for the greatest proportion of the community;

  • Are interested in contributing to identifying solutions for traffic, parking and transport issues for the Greater Menai Area.

  • Will provide feedback through your community networks on the issues and opportunities identified.


Anyone meeting the above requirements and aged 16 or over is encouraged to participate. Selection criteria does apply to ensure members are representative of the wider community.
