Policy for the Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to the Mayor and Councillors

Council is proposing to change the policy that details how we pay and provide resources to the Mayor and Councillors. The purpose of the policy is to ensure that Councillors are provided sufficient resources to enable them to carry out their duties; and that these resources are provided in a manner that is accountable and transparent.
Amendments are proposed to the policy to reflect new technologies and new efficient ways to do business.
The policy will be on public exhibition until 1 November 2016 and you are encouraged to provide comments to inform the adoption of an appropriate policy.
